Wedding Planning Tips

When planning a wedding many mistakes will happen. Here are several tips to help avoid making the common mistakes.

1. Do not make any verbal agreements. Be very specific about what you want and how you want it. Get it all in writing so everyone from the bridal party to the professional understands it providing the services.

2. On the day of the wedding have an emergency kit that includes needle thread safety pins hairpins extra pantyhose breath mints deodorant hair spray band-aids aspirin clear nail polish and rubber bands. You need to be prepared for whatever may need to be done instantly so the day continues to run smoothly.

3. Make test run to the church at the same time as the planned ceremony so you can see that the traffic may be like as well as any road construction. Remove any elements of surprise.

4. Two or three days before the wedding call all of the vendors to verify they are on schedule. Confirm the time date and location of the wedding reception. Verify they know to get to the different locations.

5. Delegate to someone the last minutes tasks of helping the bridal party get dressed any errands that may need to be performed and all of the vendor information so this person can contact the vendors if the need arises.

6. Plan all the details and make all the arrangements well in advance of the wedding day. The day and night before the wedding is not to be the time for any extra errands or tasks to be completed. It is a time to relax before the big day!

When you plan carefully everything of the wedding day and reception there will less chances of things going wrong. The day of the wedding is to be a joyous day not one of worry or stress.
