The wedding is the day two people officially start their lives together as husband and wife. It is traditionally a day of celebration and joy by everyone. It is very important to make the appropriate plans so the day is not filled with stress and disappointment.

The ideas for the wedding vary on the wedding couple and their personal desires for their special day. There are many types of weddings that are based on different themes as well as the size of the wedding and how the reception is planned.

The theme of the wedding is typically carried onto the reception. The theme is used for the invitations setting the mood for the actual wedding day.

Some of the wedding themes can be as simple as an outside country wedding with hay bales country designed wedding apparel country colors (red blues white yellow and bright colors associated with the country) and the laid back atmosphere for the reception with a barbeque cookout or a buffet carry-in type theme. The music can be country music or even square-dance style music.

The beach theme wedding is a popular summer wedding style used by many couples. The wedding can take place on the beach or with the beach as the backdrop. The couple can opt to dress formally or in beach attire. With the more informal attire there are flip-flops sandals bare feet shorts sundresses cutoffs and even swimsuits with a cover. The food would be anything including seafood or steak and lobster to a hog roast.

A garden wedding is another summer wedding theme. The attire can be tradition or vintage to Victorian. Live plants and flowers will adorn the setting for the ceremony and the reception. The food can be a lavish dinner to a buffet style eating design.

The other times of the year can follow the holidays as the themes such as Christmas Valentines Day St. Patricks Day Halloween Thanksgiving and even New Years. The colors follow with the holiday themes. The receptions vary from small and quaint to large with served meals.
